Pearl
River, NY, June 6, 2000: Katz & Associates,
a rapidly growing national retail real estate firm,
announces the addition of Storage Mall to its client
roster, according to Daniel B. Katz, President.
Katz will exclusively
handle national and regional real estate transactions
for Storage Mall. Storage Mall redevelops space for
self-storage, thereby creating a new source of revenue
from otherwise unused space. From 25,000 square feet
in densely built-up markets to upwards of 60,000 -
80,000 square feet, Storage Mall will take awkward
or poorly located space that are not appropriate for
other retail or commercial uses to turn into self-storage
outlets. This assignment is being handled by John Meyerdierks,
Senior Vice President, Western Region, Katz & Associates.
"We're thrilled
to be part of such a ground-breaking opportunity," notes
Daniel Katz. "By tying in to our established landlord
contacts, we are able to offer Storage Mall the opportunity
to grow in often unused or underused space in basements
or mezzanine locations of malls and free-standing structures."
In addition, Katz
is responsible for the following retail real estate
transactions for Spring 2000: Nordstrom Rack - Scottsdale,
AZ, 35,000 square feet; Pic 'N Save - Modesto, CA,
21,621 square feet; Linens 'N Things - Fayetteville,
GA, 34,000 square feet; The Avenue - Worcester, MA,
4,000 square feet; Big Lots - Lynn, ME, 26,200 square
feet; Best Buy - Westbury, NY, 48,000 square feet;
The Avenue - Middleburg Heights, OH, 5,400 square feet;
Pic 'N Save - Albany, OR, 18,736 square feet; and Linens
'N Things - San Antonio, TX, 34,000 square feet.
