Pearl River, NY (February, 2007):  Katz & Associates is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Sher as Director of Real Estate, Northeast Region, effective February 5, 2007.  Scott is based out of our New York office.

 “We are in an expansion mode in the Northeast and are very happy to have added Scott to the team,” said Brian Katz, Senior Vice President, Northeast Region.  “His market knowledge and enthusiastic attitude will allow him to become immediately effective.”

Scott has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 2003.  Prior to joining Katz & Associates, Scott was Director of Leasing with Anderson Realty Services.  Scott was responsible for analyzing markets and leasing new developments including Montgomery Promenade, a new lifestyle center in Princeton, NJ consisting of over 400,000 square feet, along with several other regional shopping centers throughout NY and NJ.  He closed several deals in his limited time in the industry with major retailers such as CVS, PetSmart, Furla, Ann Taylor and Chico’s.  Prior to Anderson Realty Services, Scott started his real estate career as a leasing associate at Studley in Manhattan where he focused on market analysis and new business development. Before joining Studley, Scott was with Qwest Communications where he was a major Account Executive. While at Qwest he sold one of the companies’ largest deals to date of over $150 million and was the top sales person in the Pacific Region in 2002.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Arizona.  He is an active member of ICSC.
