Pearl
River, NY (May, 2003): Katz & Associates,
the nation's largest real estate company dedicated
exclusively to retail, is pleased to announce that
it has secured premier locations in two of the top
ten trade areas nationwide, according to Daniel
B. Katz, President and
CEO. Galyan's Trading Company, exclusively represented
nationwide by Katz,
has signed a lease for 108,000 square feet in Garden
City, NY. The prototype store is a portion of the
former Stern's, having direct access to the 2,000,000
square foot Roosevelt Field Mall. Co-anchors include
Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom. The benefits
from Long Island's lifestyle, its position facing
Old Country Road and abundant parking.
Linens 'N Things,
also exclusively represented nationwide by Katz,
has signed a lease for 54,775 square feet in Tyson's
Corner, VA. Located on Route 123, just south of Route
7 and I-495, the property is within one-half mile
of Tyson's Corner Mall and Tyson's Galleria. This
one-story building is being vacated by a data center
and was formerly occupied by Hechinger's. Demographically,
the trade area profile is a perfect fit for Linens
'N Things' high quality home furnishings.
"Both of these
locations represent unique opportunities for Galyan's
and Linens 'N Things to penetrate their highly desirable
customer base in the New York and Washington markets
respectively. The competition for these sites represents
the "best of breed" in American retail
today. Our partnership with these two long-term clients
allowed us to secure these premier locations with
authority," says Kurt
Schneider, Senior Vice President, Northeast Region.
