Marking the 5th Galyan's in the greater Chicago area, Galyan's recently opened a 100,000 square foot, two level store in Orland Park Place, located directly opposite Orland Square Mall in Orland Park, IL a southwestern suburb of Chicago. Co-anchors include: Kohl's, Cost Plus World Market, Barnes & Noble and DSW.

Galyan's has also opened a new 65,000 square foot, one level prototype store in the Shoppes at Grand Prairie, a new 400,000 square foot lifestyle center, located in Peoria, IL. Co-anchors in the project include: Bergner's, Linens 'N Things, Borders Books and Old Navy.

In Fall 2003, Galyan's will open in an 80,000 square foot two level store in Glenview, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago. The location is in The Glen Town Center lifestyle project on the grounds of the former Glenview Naval Air Station. Co-anchors include: Von Maur, Crown Cinemas and Borders Books.
