Beauty First is a unique concept combining the best practices of the professional salon industry with a sophisticated retail assortment of the top professional lines in skin, hair & nail care, cosmetics and home spa essentials. "Beauty First's initial entry into Chicago calls for two to three stores scheduled for a Spring, 2005 opening followed by a program of three to four stores per year for the next several years" according to Marlon Stone, Director of Real Estate, Midwest Region.

The typical Beauty First is 3,000sf – 4,000 sf with 30' of frontage. Site selection criteria includes significant white collar daytime employment of working women age 25-59 with strong upper middle income residential base, on highly visible locations on the pad or "in line" within power strip centers. Preferred co-tenants include high everyday traffic generating anchors such as Target, Whole Foods, Linens 'N Things, Best Buy and Barnes & Noble.
