David Emihovich serves as a Principal in the Southeast Region at Katz & Associates. He has been with the company for eleven years and has helped grow the office from three to seven agents. Most recently, David was selected by City Mattress to execute the entry of their new concept, PranaSleep. Furthermore, David will oversee all of the real estate needs of City Mattress in Florida moving forward. David was chosen to represent Hobby Lobby and is currently managing its expansion into the state of Florida. David has doubled the store count in Florida for Hobby Lobby within three years. Additionally, David is active on the Pet Supermarket account, covering them for all of South Florida. At this time, he is in the process of executing the expansion of Mash’D, a rebellious American sit down restaurant concept with moonshine infused cocktails into the Florida market. Mr. Emihovich is still involved with Discovery Clothing, as they now have seven stores in Florida and make their way down from Chicago to the Florida markets. David was also selected to represent Cooper’s Hawk Winery with its expansion efforts across Southern Florida. Cooper’s Hawk has opened Naples and Coconut Creek, with Doral and Palm Beach Gardens coming online in 2017. David was awarded the business of Cobb Theatres for the state of Florida in addition to the tenants listed above, David is working with the following retailers in various markets: Chick-Fil-A, Office Depot, DSW, Aspen Dental and GameStop. David also leases shopping centers and provides strategic market analysis for several national developers including, Forest City, Agree Realty and National Retail Properties. In this capacity, David has successfully completed leases with Dick’s Sporting Goods, OSH, Aldi, and CVS. David previously represented Circuit City, A.C. Moore, Golf Galaxy, Shoe Carnival, California Pizza Kitchen, Jamba Juice, Panera Bread and Jos. A. Bank with their Florida expansions.
Prior to joining the Katz & Associates team in February 2006, David was a Leasing Associate with Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC) of Miami, FL where he worked with various developers and retailers in Florida. Prior to joining CREC, David was with GT Colliers in Roseville, CA. David was responsible for leasing the Weingarten Realty Portfolio in Northern California and was also involved with the rollout and expansion of Cold Stone Creamery, EB Games and Panera Bread for Northern and Central California.
