Daniel Mitchell serves
as Executive Vice President of Development
at Katz & Associates. In
this capacity, Mr. Mitchell is responsible
for the creation of development opportunities
to be completed with a select group of experienced
retail developers who will work in partnership
with Katz & Associates on the development
leasing and sale of the completed project.
Mr. Mitchell has over
thirty six years of experience in the real
estate industry in varied disciplines including
shopping center development and leasing,
along with heading up the real estate departments
for several national retailers. In his previous
position at Katz & Associates,
Senior Vice President of the Midwest Region,
he was responsible for site reviews, lease
structure and costs for numerous retail clients.
He was also involved in the analysis of all
proposed new locations for deal structure,
location dynamics, sales potential and appropriateness
for inclusion in near- and mid -term expansion
plans.
Prior to joining Katz & Associates, Mr.
Mitchell was Senior Vice President of Melville
Realty with primary responsibility for running
the national Linens ‘n Things’ real
estate program. Before that position, he was
Vice President of Real Estate for Highland
Superstores then Silo Corporation, where he
had full national responsibility for all aspects
of real estate & construction.
Mr. Mitchell earned a master's degree in Business
Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree
in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Michigan
State University. He is a member of the International
Council of Shopping Centers and is a frequent
panelist at ICSC regional and national.
