David Emihovich serves as Vice President of Real Estate, Southeast Region at Katz & Associates. David is the managing broker at Katz & Associates for the roll-out of the Dollar General expansion program in Florida and for Pet Supermarket across the Southeastern United States. He is also responsible for the execution of the Chick-fil-A market plan into Southern Florida. Mr. Emihovich also leases centers and provides strategic market analysis for several national developers including, Forest City, Agree Realty and National Retail Properties. In addition, he oversees the expansion efforts for the following national retailers into Southern Florida: California Pizza Kitchen, The Children's Place, GameStop, Jamba Juice, Hair Cuttery and Salonz Beauty Suites. He is also working on the Saks 5th Avenue OFF 5TH and DSW accounts in various Florida markets. He has previously worked with Circuit City, A.C. Moore, Golf Galaxy, Shoe Carnival and Jos. A. Bank with their Florida expansions.
Prior to joining the Katz & Associates team in February 2006, Mr. Emihovich was a Leasing Associate with Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC) of Miami, FL, where he worked with various developers and retailers in Florida. Prior to joining CREC, David was with GT Colliers, Roseville, CA. David was responsible for leasing the Weingarten Realty Portfolio in Northern California, and was also involved with the roll-out and expansion of Cold Stone Creamery, EB Games and Panera Bread for Northern and Central California.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was captain of the men’s tennis team, and holds real estate licenses in California and Florida, and is an active member of the ICSC and Chairman of the ICSC Next Generation Program, Palm Beach County, Florida.
