Brian Katz serves as Katz & Associates’ Chief Operating Officer and President. In this capacity, Mr. Katz is responsible for a portion of the day to day operational management of the company as well as strategic planning and execution for select clients’ real estate expansion and disposition. Mr. Katz joined the company in 2000 and has completed deals valued in excess of $1 billion dollars in NY, NJ, CT, PA, DE, MD, VA and the District of Columbia.  Some of his transaction history include multiple suburban and downtown lease and sale transactions for DSW Shoes, Eastern Mountain Sports, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Loehmann’s, Cost Plus World Market, Retro Fitness, The Vitamin Shoppe, Linens ‘n Things, Road Runner Sports and Jos. A Bank.   Mr. Katz has extensive expertise, experience and knowledge of the retail landscape in all of the Mid-Atlantic states. Mr. Katz is an active member of The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).

Prior to joining Katz, Mr. Katz held the position of Project Manager with Forest City Ratner. As a member of the retail team, he participated in the development of 2.1 million square feet of retail space in the five boroughs of New York City. In addition, he participated in the management of 1 million square feet of operating properties.

Mr. Katz holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Pennsylvania State University.
